After my surgery, a friend gave me a copy of Tim Gunn's new book, Gunn's Golden Rules
. Reading the book is like chatting with Tim over a cup of tea. Initially, I wanted to read it simply because it was Tim. I love to tease about my adoration of Tim. This book is not a joke. Tim really is an amazing person with a wonderful outlook on life. This isn't some celebrity fluff piece. There are some highly amusing stories of people who don't follow the rules. Tim manages to tell the stories in a way that does not come across as snarky. If we all lived by Tim's rules, the world would be a much more pleasant place.
Gunn's Golden Rules could not have come at a better time. I am in definite need of an attitude adjustment and pep talk. It is a fantastic and inspiring book without being preachy.
